The Yangery Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) has been granted a planning permit by the Victorian Minister for Planning (Application No. PA2604211).

This is a significant milestone for the project and reflects successful technical, environmental and community engagement work undertaken throughout the planning process. With this planning approval now in place, the South Energy project team will focus on the next phase of development. This includes progressing grid connection, detailed engineering design and other key pre-construction activities.
