Kennedys Creek Solar Farm

About The Project

Situated approximately 4 km north-east of the rural town of Benalla in northern Victoria, Kennedys Creek Solar Farm is placed off Benalla-Yarrawonga Road on 290 hectares within the industrial and farming zones between Benalla and Glenrowan. The area is in mostly flat country with little tree cover and has transitioned from dairying to meat and wool production.

South Energy initiated the development of Kennedys Creek Solar Farm back in 2019 and formed a partnership with Lightsource BP in 2021 to jointly deliver the project. Financial close has been set to be achieved by Q4 2024, and commercial operation date by Q4 2026.
