Benger Solar and BESS Hybrid

About The Project

The Benger Solar and BESS Hybrid Project will be developed on approximately 187 hectares of predominantly cleared and flat land, located about 15 km south of Harvey and 20 km northeast of Bunbury, the third-largest city in Western Australia. With a proposed generation capacity of 105 MWac, the project is designed to produce enough clean energy to power around 35,000–40,000 homes. In addition, it will host a DC-coupled 80 MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), enabling efficient integration with the grid and supporting renewable energy reliability.

The Project Development Approval has been granted .Grid connection has been approved. Financial close is targeted to take place in July 2026, with construction planned to commence in Q3 2026. Commercial Operations are targeted for Q3 2029.
